Kuchikepii (Slang word for “At the Movies”) is a series of film screenings and discursive presentations that takes place over two days every month, where we screen art videos, films and African cinema to artists and students from the colleges around the city and with a few special sessions that are open to other audiences.

The program was first initiated as part of our Mini-Lab (now LoCA-SP). It serves as a platform where we introduce artistic practices based on video art making and introduces the audience to African Cinema and films from the south. From 2024, LoCA Kuchikepii will collaborate with artist Christian Nyampeta with Boda Boda Lounge-
